This session will provide families with activities and strategies that support components for understanding roles of serving on policy and advisory councils, serving as a member of a decision-making group, the process’ involved in policy and advisory councils and top tips for parents to be involved within Oregon policy systems.
  • Participants will examine Oregon’s systems and decision-making groups to build their skills on getting started in decision-making groups, important policies to understand that are specific to Oregon, and knowing, reading and understanding data to support their participation in the decision-making groups.
  • Participants will have an understanding roles for serving as a member of a decision making group, the process involved in decision making groups, tips and tools to help support them during membership of decision making groups.
