Discuss risk factors for SUID/SIDS and misconceptions/changes in known risk factors. Explore preventable risk factors and the cumulative effects of risk factors. We will examine factors that go into providing a safe sleep environment and discuss the current recommendations. We will discuss the process that happens with law enforcement and the medical examiner if a death occurs and why the process is important. We will also discuss resources available both locally and nationally.
